Super Cool from The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part released online
Another of the new songs – Super Cool – from The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part has been shared online.
With The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part arriving in cinemas tomorrow, another original track has been released online for fans to enjoy. Super Cool is a collaboration between Beck, The Lonely Island and Robyn.
The track was recorded for and plays over the film’s end credits, providing fun vocals over the specially animated images that accompany the list of names. It is now available across all platforms.
MTV shared a reaction to the new song:
There’s a distinctly retro feel to “Super Cool,” somewhat similar to the theme song of the original, “Everything Is Awesome,” performed by Tegan and Sara. The new tune is an upbeat, yet soft, Beck- and Robyn-led duet that features a deep break followed by nostalgic boom-bap, courtesy of The Lonely Island. It may sound like a harsh mash-up, but it works. You can practically hear Chris Pratt’s goofy returning LEGO protagonist getting into a myriad of trouble to it.
The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part will be released on February 8, 2019 – which is tomorrow, so just one day to go…
