DreamToys launches the Christmas list for 2018 today, advising shoppers on the best toys this Christmas, and a number of LEGO sets made the cut. Each year, a committee of toy retailers and experts produce the DreamToys list, pointing shoppers towards the must-have toys for Christmas. The Toy Retailers Association puts the list together, that covers toys across eight categories and lists an overall top twelve. The top 12 toys includes one LEGO set – Harry Potter 75954 Hogwarts Great Hall. Surrounding the wizarding product are toys that follow this year’s smash hits, L.O.L. Surprise! and Monopoly Fortnite Edition, along with Fingerlings, Cra-Z-Slimy Creations and Paw Patrol. The “It’s Showtime” category picks out movie based toys and features two LEGO Harry Potter sets – 75954 Hogwarts Great Hall and 75955 Hogwarts Express. LEGO Jurassic World 75928 Blue’s Helicopter Pursuit is also listed in that category. LEGO City 60195 Arctic Mobile Exploration Base can be found in the “Play, Set & Match” category, while the Stocking Fillers category includes the LEGO Harry Potter Collectible Minifigures series. “2018 has been very disruptive for the toy industry globally.
