A LEGO escape room is coming to Irvine, California for one weekend only. The pop-up "Create Your Escape" experience, designed for children aged 6-12 years old, tests teams on their expert knowledge of current LEGO themes. The escape room had a brief preview event in Minnesota last weekend, before travelling to Orange County for November 16-17. As well as their skill, smarts and creativity, players will need to use their knowledge of LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Marvel Avengers, LEGO Speed Champions and Minecraft to complete the experience. Entry to Create Your Escape is free of charge – you just need to book a time slot in advance. Your team of young minds will then have 15 minutes to solve cooperative challenges across a 500-square foot space. Once they've found the three LEGO keys, they can successfully escape the room. You can book a slot through EventBrite or at the Create Your Escape website. When you book, you'll have to choose a "SQUAD" – either the Drift Creators, Shadow Crew or Elemental Masters. Each one promises a different experience, catering to different skill sets. Parents, meanwhile, will be able to watch their kids at work through a small viewing room. Create Your Escape was envisioned by New York-based marketing agency Set Creative. According to Forbes, the room has a "soft marketing approach", so the hints towards official LEGO themes are hopefully subtle.
