The LEGO Batman Movie sets revealed

If the LEGO Group’s reveal of the first DC Super Hero Girls sets was not up your street, then this may be more agreeable – a look at three of the new sets from The LEGO Batman Movie. The movie, and products, will have a different flavour than the DC Super Heroes releases as they are based on the zanier LEGO version of Gotham. Promotion for the film so far demonstrates how similar this take on Batman will be to The LEGO Movie’s sensibilities.

Mr Freeze Ice Attack looks to be a low priced set including a small mech, while Batcave Break-In should be a lot of fun – particularly with the multiple Bat-suits. Arkham Asylum may not live up to the previous AFOL-targeted version, but its price point won’t be low with that many great minifigures included, predominantly made up of villains in prison garb.

The sets are due for release in January 2017, with the movie due for release February 2017. Additionally, a series of Collectible Minifigures and a LEGO Dimensions Story Pack are expected.
