No matter how long you’ve been a fan of the brick, the idea of one day becoming a LEGO Model Designer must have crossed your mind. Now, that thought may become a reality as the LEGO Group begins its search for the next top talent to join them in Billund, Denmark.
The company are advertising the position on their careers page and fans can apply by clicking through from there and progressing through the Application Wizard program. The job would require the successful applicant(s) to move to Denmark, with the LEGO Group’s campus being in Billund.
Ideally, the LEGO Group is looking for someone who is passionate about design and toys; has an understanding of LEGO by building or sketching; works well with teammates and more. The full details of the job including responsibilities and required documents can be found on the job application webpage.
Recent examples of people from the LEGO community making the jump from fan builder to LEGO Designer include Chris McVeigh, who has already worked on the Brick Sketches line and the recently announced 10278 Police Station, and Brick Fanatics’ very own Jme Wheeler, who is part of the NINJAGO team and is occasionally loaned out to build ducks.
