The LEGO Marvel Infinity Saga sets may be revealed soon

The rumoured wave of LEGO Marvel Infinity Saga sets may be officially revealed as soon as next week.

The superhero theme was notably absent from the slew of recently-revealed brand new summer 2021 sets, which includes full waves for Creator, CITY, Speed Champions, Friends and more. However, Instagram user lego_club_news now reports that the next wave of Marvel sets will be revealed on May 11.

Earlier rumours indicated that this summer’s Marvel line-up will circle back to older movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Captain America: The First Avenger, Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Panther, under the banner of ‘Infinity Saga’.

It’s those sets that lego_club_news reckons will be unveiled next week. According to rumours originally published in March, the wave will consist of six sets ranging from €9.99 to €149.99 in price. Here’s the full list as it stood at the time:

lego

76186 Black Panther Dragon Flyer – 202 pieces, three minifigures, €19.99
76189 Captain America and Hydra Face-Off – 49 pieces, two minifigures, €9.99
76190 Iron Man: Iron Monger Mayhem – 479 pieces, three minifigures, €39.99
76192 Avengers Endgame: Final Battle – 527 pieces, eight minifigures, €89.99
76193 Benatar – 1,901 pieces, six minifigures, €149.99
76200 Sanctuary II – 265 pieces, three minifigures, €29.99

We’ll keep you posted if and when the LEGO Group does lift the lid on these sets (and their also-rumoured follow-up wave in 2022). For now, both their existence and alleged reveal date are all hearsay, so treat them with the same scepticism as all LEGO rumours.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
