The LEGO Movie 2 30640 Rex’s Plantimal Ambush promotion coming to the US

Fans in the USA will be able to get the The LEGO Movie 2 30640 Rex’s Plantimal Ambush polybag as a free gift with purchase this month.

From February 8, shop.LEGO.com will be giving away 30640 Rex’s Plantimal Ambush away with any order for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part sets totalling $40 or more, the Brick Fan reports. This polybag contains a Rex Dangervest minifigure and buildable Plantimal, very similar – if not the same as – the one included in 70826 Rex’s Rextreme Offroader.

The polybag is based on the sequence that sees Emmet, Rex and the Raptors land on a dark, forest world inhabited by the Plantimals – small critters with big eyes.

It has not yet been announced if the promotion will be replicated worldwide.

Several polybags have turned up in different places, with the method of distribution for all of them not yet confirmed. So far, the little sets that have been discovered include 30527 Lucy vs. Alien Invader, 30529 Mini Master-Building Emmet, 30340 Emmet’s Piece Offering, 30620 Star-Struck Emmet and 30528 Mini Master-Building Metalbeard.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part 70840 Welcome to Apocalypseburg! was recently released, exclusively at shop.LEGO.com.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part will be released on February 8, 2019.
