The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part remains at the top of the UK box office

With half term seeing the children take time off school, The LEGO Movie 2 retained its number one spot at the UK box office.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part barely dropped at the UK box office, earning £6.6 million, a drop of just 2% from the week prior, the Guardian reports. That puts the film’s current total at £14 million, which is not as disappointing as its take in the USA.

With How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World currently on £15.9 million, it is possible that The LEGO Movie 2 will overtake it, but could go either way this point. In the USA, the film is currently holding third place at the box office.

UK box office takings are down across the board compared to 2018, with cinemas hoping that Captain Marvel will bring out the crowds who have stayed away so far.
