The LEGO NINJAGO Movie has a special promo released for San Diego Comic Con.

Leading up to the release of The LEGO Batman Movie, a series of expertly animated and highly amusing shorts tied into a variety of holidays and promotions, providing plenty of anticipation for the new LEGO film release. Now, The LEGO NINJAGO Movie looks to be kicking off its own series of animated promotional shorts.

The synopsis alongside the promo reveals a little more about the journey the characters will be going on in the film:

In this big-screen NINJAGO adventure, the battle for NINJAGO City calls to action young Master Builder Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, who are all secret ninja warriors. Led by Master Wu, as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon, The Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad. Pitting mech against mech and father against son, the epic showdown will test this fierce but undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas who must learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash their inner power of Spinjitzu.

It suggests that the NINJAGO team will have personal lessons to learn as they figure out how to stop Lloyd’s father from enacting his evil schemes.
