The LEGO NINJAGO Movie stars don LEGO hands

The LEGO NINJAGO Movie stars Michael Pena and Kumail Nanjiani appeared at the 2017 Teen Choice Awards wearing giant LEGO minifigure hands.

Michael Pena voices Kai and Kumail Nanjiani voices Jay in The LEGO NINJAGO Movie, with JustJared reporting that the pair turned up at the Teen Choice Awards to promote the new animated feature.

Nanjiani is enjoying a successful year as his first self-penned feature film, The Big Sick, has received critical praise and seen box office success. Pena has appeared in a number of high profile films including The Martian, and is currently filming Marvel movie Ant-Man and the Wasp.

The Teen Choice Awards took place at the Galen Center in Los Angeles on August 13 and featured a stage shaped like a fidget spinner, befitting its status in the awards calendar.

The sets based on The LEGO NINJAGO Movie are also available to buy now. The LEGO NINJAGO Movie is due for release on September 22 in the USA and October 13 in the UK.
