The LEGO NINJAGO Season 14: The Island trailer has released

LEGO NINJAGO fans can now get a glimpse at the next chapter of the story as the trailer for Season 14: The Island releases, as well as more information as to the plot and episodes.

2021 is proving to be a busy year for NINJAGO with celebrations for the tenth anniversary and at least one new season of the long-running TV show. The trailer for the new season has now released, courtesy of French website franceprotv.fr. The trailer can be viewed via the link but has also been reuploaded to YouTube by some NINJAGO fans, such as Fire Master. However, there is currently no sign of the trailer on any of the LEGO Group’s official social media channels.

The french website also gives some details on the story of this season with Misako having gone missing, and last seen heading to an island off the mainland. The ninjas chase after her and bring a new companion to guide them through the mysterious island. Twitchy Tim is a new character for the season but fans might also be pleased to see that Clutch Powers is returning from Season 12, after originally appearing in his own LEGO movie.

This season the ninja will be facing off against a dangerous tribe of native islanders, as can be seen, the already revealed sets. These islanders worship a sea-dwelling beast that is kept calm through regular sacrifices. The press release from the French website states that the ninjas will have to face the wrath of the sea and this creature from the bottom of infinite oceans, and may discover some truth to the mythical legend in the season. However, the translation from french may not be completely accurate so fans should take it with a grain of salt for the time being.

French LEGO fans can also get excited at the reveal of a release date, with the season airing on February 13 in France. However, it appears that this might not be a full season with the press release mentioning a 45-minute episode called ‘The unknown island’ that fans will be able to watch while waiting for the rest of the episodes airing in summer 2021. With this information, it’s possible that the island may only be the first part of the story, and that the ninja may have tackle the sea-dwelling beast later in the summer, something that some rumours have already alluded to.

Whatever the case, NINJAGO fans won’t have long to wait until the next chapter with ‘The unknown island’ airing next month. In the meantime, there are plenty of activities happening for the tenth anniversary, including a LEGO Ideas competition and the early access VIP release of the biggest NINJAGO set yet, 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens.
