The Queen’s 90th Birthday LEGO Competition

The Twitter team for LEGOLAND Windsor tweeted us to tell us about their street party for the Queen and you are invited!

To mark the Queen’s 90th birthday, LEGOLAND Windsor are throwing Her Majesty a street party on The Mall just like the official ‘Patron’s Lunch’ celebrations– only in miniature and made from LEGO®! Plus they’re giving one lucky LEGO master builder the chance to design a special birthday cake for the scene.

The party scene will be set up on Miniland’s very own Mall this June in front of their magnificent 35,000 brick recreation of Buckingham Palace. Just like the real life party, their mini version will also feature rows of picnic tables laden with hampers and champers, Union Jack flags flying and bunting decorations made completely of LEGO

To Enter:

  1. Design and build your own AWESOME LEGO birthday cake* – think tiers, candles and decorations. The more creative, the better!
  2. Upload a picture to our Facebook page using #Miniland90thParty
*As the model will sit in Miniland it’s important it’s built to a Miniland scale. The LEGO Queen stands at around 10cm tall so as a guide, so the cake should be no bigger.
  3. Entries must be received via Facebook by 23:59 GMT on Tuesday 31st May 2016. A winner will then be selected by a panel of judges and contacted and announced via Facebook on 1st June 2016. Please note that the winning model will need to be sent to the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort by 8th June so this can be placed in the Miniland scene.
