Thor: Love and Thunder lands on Disney+

The latest film in Marvel’s Thor series has finally dropped on the Disney+ streaming service, joining its two LEGO sets currently in production.

Thor: Love and Thunder first released in July 2022, and is the fourth film to have the God of Thunder as its protagonist. Directed by Taika Waititi (who also directed Thor: Ragnarok) the film sees Thor reunite with old flame Jane Foster – who has picked up some superpowers of her own. They must work together to defeat Gorr the God Butcher from destroying all the gods in the universe.

The film has appeared on Disney+ Day, a recent initiative inspired by the streaming service’s original launch date. Other media premiering today includes the live-action Pinocchio and (in a surprise twist) an LA concert from BTS – who are getting a LEGO set of their own.

In keeping with other major Marvel movie releases, Thor: Love and Thunder has received two LEGO sets inspired by the movie’s events. Both are currently available for purchase at LEGO.com.

76208 The Goat Boat depicts a traditional Viking longboat with some sci-fi embellishment; it includes minifigures of Thor, Jane Foster (in her Mighty Thor guide) Valkyrie, Korg and Gorr. However, it has seen a recent price increase – which may cause you to think twice about purchasing it without a discount.

Luckily, 76207 Attack on New Asgard has escaped unscathed. It includes Thor, Mighty Thor and Gorr, as well as a large green creature of uncertain provenance. If you’re wondering what all the fuss is about, now is the perfect opportunity to find out.
