Title for Avatar 2 and more details revealed at CinemaCon

With LEGO sets for Avatar 2 confirmed, the news of the title for the sequel may give us a sign of what to expect.

At Disney’s panel at CinemaCon, the company went through their upcoming slate of projects to reveal more details to attendees. As part of that panel, Avatar 2 was revealed to be named Avatar: The Way of Water.

It’s also been reported by Digital Spy that the first footage of the sequel was revealed. We’ll be able to get a better look at the film soon as the footage is reported to next be available with the cinematic release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, then online a week later.

The title for Avatar: The Way of Water suggests that aquatic creatures and environments could play a large role in the movie. A recent interview confirmed models based on the first and second films, meaning we’ll soon be able to see what we can expect from LEGO Avatar later this year.

Avatar: The Way of Water is currently scheduled to release on December 16. An official announcement for the LEGO sets has yet to arrive, but we’ll likely know more when we get nearer to its release.

Recent listings suggest that Avatar could be getting four models, one of which might already have a full name.
