Top five magical minifigures to include with the rumoured LEGO DC Doctor Fate set

Following an earlier report, here are our suggestions for the top five magical minifigures we think should be included with the rumoured LEGO DC Doctor Fate set.

A rumour has surfaced online that a potential LEGO DC set based around Doctor Fate may appear at some point later this year, marking the first physical minifigure of that character. Doctor Fate has only previously appeared as a playable character in the LEGO DC Super Villains video game, but never as a minifigure in a set.

With that in mind, here are the top five magical minifgures we’d like to see included in a possible LEGO DC Doctor Fate set, in addition to the title character:

5 — Zatanna

The top hat-wearing daughter of famed stage magician Zatara, Zatanna is a powerful sorceress in her own right. She has a unique method of spellcasting, speaking backwards to harness her abilities. Zatanna is another character that has yet to be released in minifigure form.

4 — Klarion the Witch Boy

Sometimes appearing as a villainous character, Klarion was created by the legendary Jack Kirby. A talented sorcerer, Klarion is accompanied by his cat familiar, Teekl. Klarion was also rumoured at one point to be the exclusive minifigure included with the upcoming LEGO DC Character Encyclopedia New Edition, but it was Val-Zod of Earth-2 who made the final cut.

3 — John Constantine

Originally based on the physical appearance of the singer, Sting, John Constantine is a popular magical character within the DC universe. More of an antihero than an out-and-out good guy, Constantine works on the side of the angels, even if his methods are often frowned upon by other magic users.

2 — Ragman

Wearing a magical ‘Suit of Souls’, Rory Regan’s alter ego is drawn to evil, with the rags of his tattered suit often out of his control. His powers include the ability to glide on air currents, superhuman strength and mystical senses.

1 — Etrigan the Demon

A literal demon from Hell, Etrigan can be summoned to Earth by his human host, Jason Blood. The fire-breathing beast only ever speaks in rhyme and is powerful enough to go toe-to-toe with the likes of Superman.

Although only Doctor Fate and Klarion the Witch Boy have appeared in digital form in LEGO DC Super Villains, all of the characters listed above currently remain unreleased as physical minifigures. While it’s fun to speculate, the rumours of a potential LEGO DC Doctor Fate set are merely speculative at this stage and have yet to be officially confirmed.
