The two LEGO Super Mario Peach’s castles have something in common

Though the two LEGO Super Mario models of Peach’s Castle are drastically different sizes, they have one major element in common.

71408 Peach’s Castle is available to purchase now along with the rest of the latest LEGO Super Mario wave. However, it’s not the first depiction of the castle in the theme. A much smaller version of the castle was featured in 71395 Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block

While that version was much too small for Super Mario figures to fit inside, it still included a few recognisable details from the game such as the Warp Paintings to the various levels. These paintings were for Bob-omb Battlefield, Cool Cool Mountain and Lethal Lava Land.

The artwork for Bob-omb Battlefield also features in 71408 Peach’s Castle, offering a larger version of the design than what was available on the one-stud tile. The sun design also features inside the main doors of the castle, much like the smaller build in 71395 Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block

As an iconic element of the castle, it’s not too surprising to see it appear in 71408 Peach’s Castle but it does create a fun link between the two different LEGO Super Mario castles.

Both 71395 Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block and 71408 Peach’s Castle are available to order now on the official online store, with a free VIP gift for a limited time.
