Useless LEGO elements that are actually useful

Everyone knows those LEGO pieces that seem useless, that don’t appear to have any utility in builds – but this video shows that some ‘useless’ pieces can come in really handy.

LEGO builders all have parts that they don’t often have much use for, but this video from TD BRICKS seeks to dispel some myths. Rather than dismissing certain pieces out of hand, this video demonstrates that there are inventive ways to use even the most seemingly useless part.

One piece that seems is useless is a net piece, but it turns out it can be used in a very inventive way. “You can so something super cool with net pieces and make bending LEGO,” the voice over explains, before a demonstration reveals how to make terrain using LEGO nets.

There’s even a handy use for transparent studs revealed. “These pieces are great for splashing into a build to create water effects. I think using transparent studs instead of standard opaque tiles really makes this build pop and creates a more realistic water effect,” he says.
