Virgin Australia Supercars Championship partners with LEGO Speed Champions

Young fans attending the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship will get the chance to enjoy some LEGO racing, as well as the real racing.

The Virgin Australia Supercars Championship and the LEGO Group are collaborating to provide Play Zones at the Townsville, Ipswich, Sandown and Newcastle Supercars events taking place in Australia this year.

The Play Zone will feature Speed Champions sets, with special activities as well as free building space. One such activity will involve teams building a LEGO car and then sending it down a racetrack, competing on distance and speed. Other creative play will include the less high octane Cityscape build.

LEGO is a family favourite in any household, and to have them on board to offer this new experience for Supercars fans will be great for our events,” Supercars Chief Executive Sean Seamer told Supercars. “This partnership is another strong step towards growing our already significant commitment to youth engagement at our world-class events.”
