Warner Bros. begins marketing LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Warner Bros. looks to have kicked off its marketing campaign for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, suggesting the hugely-anticipated video game is gearing up for release.

The publisher’s Spanish Instagram account has posted a screenshot of Anakin Skywalker and Mace Windu in the Geonosian Arena from Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, asking fans for their favourite lightsaber.

“In LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga you can fight with many of them,” the caption continues (courtesy of Google Translate). Okay, so it’s a bit of a stretch to say that this is definitive proof the game hasn’t been delayed again after all, but we’re taking anything we can get at this stage.

If this truly is a sign that the marketing machine is in motion, we could hear news about the game as early as today. That’s because announcements around LEGO Star Wars titles typically drop on Wednesdays, although there’s of course no guarantee that Warner Bros. will stick to that trend for TT Games’ latest sequel.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
