WATCH: Seven LEGO ICONS sets retiring by the end of 2022

A total of seven LEGO ICONS sets are due to leave shelves by the end of the year, so here’s a video rundown of which products you need to prioritise while you still can.

According to Brick Fanatics’ sources, it’s last-chance-saloon on a handful of LEGO ICONS sets, from sitcoms and stadiums to vehicles and very merry buildings. If you’ve got a LEGO wish list longer than you can keep up with, our latest YouTube video should help you to figure out which models to push to the top before it’s too late.

10279 Volkswagen T2 Camper Van is riding off into the sunset by the end of 2022, for example, after just over a year on shelves. That’s an unusually short window of availability for any LEGO set, let alone a direct-to-consumer LEGO ICONS model, and could see the vehicle shoot up in price on the aftermarket next year. See what else is joining the retirement party by hitting play on the video below.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
