Will new LEGO Store Disney Springs models tie in with new products?

The LEGO Store at Disney Springs, located in Walt Disney World in Florida, is getting new displays – could it tie in with the release of LEGO Ideas Steamboat Willie?

Fans who have visited the LEGO Store at Disney Springs, located in Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida, USA, will know that it has special LEGO models depicting classic Disney movie scenes sitting outside. These have recently been removed, WDW News Today reports.

It may be that the models are restored and returned to their original locations, or it may be that all-new displays have been constructed to replace them. The timing seems interesting, as just a few days ago the LEGO Ideas social media accounts teased the new LEGO Ideas Steamboat Willie set. Will the new builds tie in to the release of that set, or even a new, unannounced LEGO Disney product?

Inspired by the classic piece of black and white animation that introduced the character of Mickey Mouse, the litle video does not provide a look at the official set but does hint at the Mickey minifigure. The project submitted to the platform was designed by Máté “szabomate90” Szabó.

It is not the only animated classic getting the LEGO treatment in 2019, with 21316 The Flintstones (review) recently released.
