Win a real Fender Stratocaster in new LEGO Ideas contest
The latest LEGO Ideas contest offers the chance to win both 21329 Fender Stratocaster and a real-life version of the legendary guitar.
It’s a fairly wide brief for entries: you just need to build something that celebrates the iconic instrument (and the famous musicians who’ve wielded it on stage), such as a recreation of a historic performance or an album cover.
That means you’re obviously welcome to reference licensed content, including real-life musicians, albums and record labels, as long as you stick to the LEGO Group’s pre-approved list of appropriate intellectual properties.
You’ve got until November 4 at 11am UK time to submit your entry, after which a team of judges from LEGO Ideas and Fender will whittle the longlist down to a ‘Top 40’ (music chart-style). You’ll then be able to vote for the 10 winners from November 19 to 26.
First place will take home 21323 Grand Piano, 21329 Fender Stratocaster, a LEGO Ideas tote bag and – perhaps coolest of all – a real-life, genuine Fender Player Stratocaster. Each of the runners-up will receive 21329 Fender Stratocaster and the tote.
You’ll find all the details and the entries so far over on the contest page. If you’re after some inspiration, 21329 Fender Stratocaster is available now from LEGO.com (and it’s a 2-in-1 model, so no bother if you buy one and also end up winning it). Author Profile
- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
