The LEGO Group has confirmed US and EU prices for the BrickLink Designer Program’s third round of crowdfunding, and it’s shaping up to be the most expensive yet.

Nine fan-designed sets will be in contention for the third and final round of crowdfunding, but as per previous rounds, only the first five to reach 3,000 backers will go into production. A total of 10,000 copies of each successful set will then be available to pre-order.

While we still don’t have a specific date for when the third round will begin – at least beyond ‘2022’ – it looks like things are finally in motion, so it can’t be too far away now. And that means it’s time to start saving: only one of these nine rejected LEGO Ideas 10K projects comes in at under $199.99, with the rest topping out at an eye-watering $399.99 in the US.
