Finally: a real LEGO minifigure that’s as good as its Fortnite version

LEGO Fortnite minifigures are generally better and more detailed than we’re ever likely to see in physical sets, but that’s all about to change thanks to Olivia Rodrigo.

The 23-year-old artist is the star of four new LEGO Editions sets coming in August (and has her name on a new Botanicals set too), with five brand new minifigures among them. Each of those recreates Rodrigo in a specific tour outfit, and one of them is – beyond all expectations – a one-for-one match for a LEGO Fortnite minifigure.

43030 Olivia Rodrigo’s Secret Storage includes a single minifigure of the singer dressed in the cheerleader outfit she donned in good 4 u’s music video, inspired heavily by a similar getup worn by Mandy Moore in The Princess Diaries. And like all LEGO Olivia Rodrigo minifigures in the August wave, it’s incredibly detailed from head to toe.

As well as a double-sided head (one side of which features tiny printed star and butterfly stickers), the minifigure includes dual-moulded arms to represent Rodrigo’s elbow-length black gloves, dual-moulded legs, and printing across the hips, sides of the legs and toes. Aside from arm printing, that’s basically decoration across every available surface.

It’s also an exact physical recreation of the digital LEGO Fortnite Olivia Rodrigo outfit that dropped last week, which even for LEGO Editions – which has already delivered some of the best and most detailed minifigures of 2026 through its football sets – wasn’t necessarily guaranteed.

Fortnite styles typically go above and beyond physical minifigures because they don’t have things like budget to consider. A few notable examples include Iron Spider, Harley Quinn and even Fortnite O.G. Cuddle Team Leader, which has printing on the arms and sides of the legs in-game but not in 77073 Battle Bus.

The LEGO Group has gone that extra mile for Olivia Rodrigo, though – and it’s got us hoping for a physical version of that SOUR outfit, too. Then again, with four other Olivia Rodrigo minifigures already available to collect across the August wave, that one might just be digital only for a good while yet. It’s only logical.
