Every LEGO Supergirl ranked from worst to best

The LEGO Group may not be releasing dedicated sets for the latest DC movie, but Supergirl is no stranger to the brick-built world.

As Kara Zor-El takes to the big screen in James Gunn’s expanding DC Universe, her LEGO history stretches back to 2015.

First introduced in comics in 1959 and making her cinematic debut in 1984, the Girl of Steel has appeared as six different LEGO minifigures and mini-dolls since then. To celebrate her latest on-screen era, we’ve ranked them all from worst to best.

6 – Short legs

Supergirl Short Legs

Appearing in 76094 Mighty Micros: Supergirl vs. Brainiac, this short-legged Supergirl minifigure sits firmly at the bottom of the list. The stylised Mighty Micros design explains the proportions, but it doesn’t help the overall look. The exaggerated smile also feels off compared to more recent versions of the character.

5 – Blue Legs and gloves with red boots

Released in 2017, this minidoll appeared in 41238 Lena Luthor Kryptomite Factory as part of the LEGO DC Super Hero Girls line. It’s a clear winner over the Mighty Micros version, and she works well in minidoll form. However, it feels slightly less like Supergirl without the classic skirt, making it a more stylised interpretation than a faithful adaptation.

4 – Red skirt

Also released in 2017, this version appeared in 41232 Super Hero High School. While not the most screen-accurate design, it offers a unique take on the character. The school-uniform-inspired look blends nicely with the Super Hero High setting, while still incorporating recognisable Supergirl elements.

3 – Original

Breaking into the top three is the first Supergirl minifigure, released in 76040 Brainiac Attack. This version gets most things right and remains a strong, classic interpretation. However, the hair and facial print feel a little generic by modern standards. It’s also a missed opportunity that she doesn’t include dual facial expressions or heat vision eyes, especially when in the same set Superman did.

2 – DC FanDome 2020 exclusive

This 2020 exclusive minifigure narrowly misses out on the top spot. Inspired by Melissa Benoist’s portrayal of Supergirl in the live-action CW series Supergirl, it features a darker, more modern superhero aesthetic. It’s a strong design overall, but the colour palette feels slightly too muted, and the larger hairpiece overwhelms the minifigure’s proportions. The blue heat vision eyes, however, are a standout detail.

1 – Ponytail

Taking the top spot is the Supergirl minifigure from LEGO Dimensions, originally available through the PlayStation 4 starter pack. It reuses the bright torso and legs from the 2015 design but improves on it in nearly every way. A thinner cape, a more expressive dual-sided face with laser eyes, and a ponytail hairpiece all help this version stand out. It may be a surprise winner, but it remains the most complete and distinctive Supergirl minifigure the LEGO Group has produced.

Sadly, the LEGO Group’s current DC focus is firmly on Batman. But if you still want your LEGO DC fix, there are plenty of standout sets available right now, including 76330 Batman Logo, 76300 Arkham Asylum, and 76303 Batman Tumbler vs. Two-Face & The Joker. All three are currently offering double LEGO Insiders points until June 29.
