July is once again a relatively quiet month for LEGO releases, but there are still a range of cool, unique, and long-awaited minifigures arriving.
Of the six sets launching in a couple of days, only half include minifigures – and only one set really includes more than one, if you don’t count babyfigs.
Despite the limited quantity, we’ve been treated to some genuinely strong minifigures this month. Here are all eight minifigures (including the babyfig) releasing in July, ranked from worst to best.
8 – Stormtrooper

Coming in last is the standard Stormtrooper included in 75459 Imperial Lambda-class Shuttle. It’s a minifigure we’ve had countless times before, with nothing new to offer here.
7 – Din Djarin

Like the Stormtrooper, this is another familiar version of Din Djarin from cheaper sets. It’s only saved from last place by the character’s design and some added arm printing.
6 – Imperial Shuttle Pilot

A step up in sixth place is the Imperial Shuttle Pilot. The lack of printed legs is disappointing, but the arm printing looks great. A decent minifigure, just not an exciting one.
5 – Light Royal Blue Classic Astronaut

A highlight for many, the Classic Space astronaut in light royal blue debuts in 11374 Arcade Pinball Machine. While the colour is new, only the helmet is exclusive, making this a solid but slightly underwhelming update.
4 – Moff Gideon

This is an unchanged version of Moff Gideon from 75315 Imperial Light Cruiser. However, it offers a new way to get the previously exclusive minifigure, now with an updated Darksaber. A very strong minifigure, just not new.
3 – Light Royal Blue Spacebaby

Spacebaby’s continue to be fan favourites, and this is the third colour variant since their debut in 2023. It’s not the most inventive design, but it’s highly collectible and already very popular.
2 – Dr. Pershing

Exclusive to 75459 Imperial Lambda-class Shuttle, Dr. Pershing takes second place. The Mandalorian character finally gets a minifigure, and the design is accurate, with detailed torso and arm printing, plus strong face and glasses detailing. The only downside is the character himself, who isn’t the most visually striking.
1 – Venom

Head and shoulders above the rest is the first-ever Sony Venom minifigure. 76356 Venom Bust is one of the month’s most anticipated sets, and the minifigure is outstanding. The arm printing and a new torso without the Spider-Man logo make it easily the best minifigure of the month.

75459 Imperial Lambda-class Shuttle and 76356 Venom Bust are both widely available from July 1. The LEGO Star Wars set retails for £139.99 / $139.99 / €149.99, while the Marvel set costs £44.99 / $49.99 / €49.99.
However, 11374 Arcade Pinball Machine is available exclusively to LEGO Insiders from July 1, before becoming widely available on July 4 for £189.99 / $229.99 / €209.99.
Only 75459 Imperial Lambda-class Shuttle is currently available for pre-order on LEGO.com and is part of the LEGO Insiders double points event, meaning you receive the equivalent of 10% cashback instead of the usual 5% until June 29.
