Just five new LEGO sets are launching at retail on Wednesday (plus one gift-with-purchase), and we’ve ranked them all.
Following our ranking of the eight LEGO minifigures hitting shelves on July 1, we’ve now taken the sets themselves to task to see which one should come out on top next month. This isn’t a prediction of which sets will sell best, but simply a marker of quality – whether from our own hands-on verdicts, our initial impressions or early reviews across the web.
Let us know if you agree (or disagree!) with our thoughts in the comments.
5 – 42240 Aston Martin Aramco AMR25

Trailing the pack in the race for the July podium is 42240 Aston Martin Aramco AMR25, which suffers from the same predictable fate as its contemporaries in the wider LEGO Technic and Speed Champions Formula 1 line-ups: it’s a £200 car without accurate rear tyre sizes, and it’s an Aston Martin in green rather than the perhaps more appropriate teal.
If you’re collecting a Technic F1 grid or are an ardent supporter of Aston Martin above all else there do seem to be things to enjoy here, but there are more interesting sets coming in July – both from Technic and elsewhere.
4 – 75459 Imperial Lambda-Class Shuttle

It’s a reflection of where LEGO Star Wars is right now that 75459 Imperial Lambda-Class Shuttle only manages fourth place on this list, particularly for a vehicle as iconic as this. But while this is a more impressive rendition of the shuttle than 2021’s downsized version, there are still proportional inaccuracies to contend with – and a price that’s as daunting as it is off-putting.
This is definitely a set worth your attention at some stage – say, when it drops by 30% – but it’s a tough one to recommend on launch day. Check out our hands-on review for more.
3 – 76356 Venom Bust

Nobody could blame you for finding it difficult to get excited about another buildable character these days, but 76356 Venom Bust feels like the exception to the norm. The LEGO Marvel team has knocked it out of the park with this one, from the shaping and parts usage to the minifigure, which is the first to depict the character as seen in Sony’s Venom movies.
It’s bested by a couple of more ambitious July 2026 releases, but if you’re shopping on a budget and want some real display bang for your buck later this week, look no further than this symbiote sculpture.
2 – 11374 Arcade Pinball Machine

It’s not going to be for everyone, and Classic Space fans will have to cross fingers that the light blue helmet and space baby come to Pick a Brick eventually, but for our money this is the second-best LEGO set launching next month. Read our full review for more and to see it in action.
1 – 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear

As the sixth entry in the LEGO Technic Ultimate Concept Car collection, 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear had its work cut out: how do you keep this series interesting, especially for the price and space these cars command? The answer was to devise the most complex and functional 1:8 megacar to date, complete with a stunning Ghost mode that operates several mechanisms simultaneously.
This one genuinely surprised us in all the right ways in our hands-on review, and if you can muster up the cash for it day one you won’t be disappointed – not least for the accompanying gift-with-purchase, 40894 Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear Steering Wheel, which also has way more going on that first meets the eye. That’s free with the larger car from July 1 to 6, or while stocks last.
