The actor behind Dr Pershing has reacted to his first LEGO minifigure, and it's safe to say that he's pleased despite the high price of the set he comes in.
One of the newest LEGO Star Wars minifigures is of Dr Pershing, featured in 75459 Imperial Lambda-Class Shuttle. The set was launched earlier this month for £139.99 / $139.99 / €149.99 with 961 pieces and five minifigures. We weren't fond of that price tag relative to the contents in our early review, but there's at least one person who loves this model.
Actor Omid Abtahi made a trip to his local LEGO store this weekend, where he found a copy of 75459 Imperial Lambda-Class Shuttle and the Dr Pershing minifigure. Omid plays that very same character in The Mandalorian, making this their first minifigure in a set.
He shared his reaction to the minifigure on Instagram, as well as a thankful message to the teams at the LEGO Group and Lucasfilm.
"I honestly never thought this day would come," writes Omid. "I definitely wished for it, but as the years passed, I kind of made peace with the idea that it wasn’t meant to be. And yet… here I am. A LEGO.

"To whoever gets to make these decisions – whether at the LEGO Group or Lucasfilm – I don’t know if you’ll ever see this, but thank you, thank you, thank you. You made the father of a LEGO-obsessed 10-year-old incredibly happy."
75459 Imperial Lambda-Class Shuttle is available now for £139.99 / $139.99 / €149.99, including The Mandalorian, Moff Gideon, an Imperial Shuttle Pilot, a Stormtrooper and the first-ever Dr Pershing LEGO minifigure.
