$1,000 LEGO Star Wars UCS Death Star officially revealed
The LEGO Star Wars team has finally pulled back the curtain on the long-rumoured $1,000 Death Star, a towering feat of ambition that cuts out a cross-section of the iconic battle station.
75419 Death Star comes in at a colossal 9,023 pieces, making it the largest LEGO Star Wars set of all time, and retails for £899.99 in the UK, $999.99 in the US and from €999.99 in Europe, making it the single most expensive LEGO set of all time. Those are hefty numbers, and they combine to deliver an unusual take on the Empire’s weapon of mass destruction.

Where 10188 Death Star and 75159 Death Star interpreted this moon-shaped space station as a sphere (you know, like in the movies), 75419 Death Star instead slices out the centre for what’s essentially a flat circle. Housed within are a series of rooms in a dollhouse-like fashion. It means that while the overall structure stands a staggering 70cm tall and 79cm wide, it’s only 27cm deep.
That should make it a little easier to display for those who do choose to sink the budget into 75419 Death Star, which also sets a new record for the most minifigures included in a single set at 38. We could write out all the characters in one long unbroken sentence, but your eyes would glaze over and by the time you reached the end you’d forget who was at the start, so hopefully this list makes them a bit easier to take in.

Eagle-eyed fans will be able to pull out the debutants in that line-up, which include Admiral Motti, General Tagge, Galen Erso, the Imperial Dignitary, 5D6-RA-7, R3-T6 and the Hot Tub Stormtrooper. The remaining 31 characters have all been seen before in some capacity, though several are updated here. (At least one has regressed: C-3PO is again missing his dual-moulded legs, as he was in 75397 Jabba’s Sail Barge last year.)

The official press release calls out a handful of features in 75419 Death Star, including the throne room, hangar, prison cell and superlaser, but only points to a singular function in the working trash compactor. The back of the box doesn’t reveal any others, either – fingers crossed there’s some kind of mechanism to allow the central elevator to work at least, as it did in 10188 Death Star.

Early adopters of 75419 Death Star will receive a free TIE Fighter gift-with-purchase, which slots into the hangar and can be glimpsed in one of the lifestyle shots of the bigger set. Further details on that one have not been announced at the time of writing, but keep an eye on Brick Fanatics for confirmation of its availability and more images.
75419 Death Star launches October 1, 2025 for LEGO Insiders and from October 4 for everyone else for a record-breaking £899.99 / $999.99 / €999.99. Head here for what’s now a complete list of LEGO Star Wars 2025 sets.

A 1000 bucks wtf, greed, 200 at next and that’s pushing it, basically 100 bucks should be the price of that thing. Glad I don’t collect Lego, big Star Wars fan though!
I am sure it is always the case but why do UK prices get such a rough deal ? $1,000 = £745 (4th Sept) so why is it £899 ? That is $1,208. LEGO is HQ in Europe not America.
US prices don’t include tax
USA prices do not include sales tax as it’s different for every state but the UK price includes VAT add 20% onto £745 and it’s £894.
