LEGO The Lord of the Rings 10316 Rivendell rumoured piece count and release date

The rumoured LEGO The Lord of the Rings Rivendell build has a reported piece count and release date, suggesting similarities to another model.

According to Brick Clicker via 1414FalconFan, the rumoured LEGO Icons 10316 Rivendell could have 6,167 pieces for $499.99, releasing in March 2023.

With a piece count and price like that, it may be that this reported build has some similarities to 71043 Hogwarts Castle, which recreates the school at a smaller scale with microfigures. 71043 Hogwarts Castle costs $469.99 with 6,020 pieces.

A LEGO Ideas project has explored exactly this with Rivendell previously and it could be an interesting way to recreate the iconic settlement without needing an entire room to store a minifigure-scale version.

As always, please remember that this is only a rumour at the time of writing, and it should be treated with appropriate caution. However, we do know that the theme is back in at least some form next year with the release of the following three BrickHeadz models.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
