Has The Book of Boba Fett given us a new LEGO enemy?

The ending to The Book of Boba Fett suggests a massive new LEGO enemy is on the cards for the LEGO Star Wars lineup.

After seven episodes, the first season of The Book of Boba Fett has drawn to a close. With a mix of new friends and old foes, the show has given us plenty to chew over.

One of the most exciting parts of the season finale (spoilers ahead) was the arrival of the Scorpenek droids. Essentially droidekas on rocket fuel, these formidable machines gave Boba Fett and his allies a run for their money. Only a Rancor (and a quick-thinking Mandalorian) were enough to bring them to their knees.

Interestingly, until now the Scorpenek droids had never appeared in a canonical Star Wars story. They were the sole preserve of Star Wars Legends, the umbrella term for all non-canonical Star Wars media. However, their arrival in the show seems to have shattered that prior state of affairs.

Given its plot significance and play features, it seems likely a LEGO Scorpenek droid will materialise in the future. However, since sets inspired by the Star Wars TV show tend to lag behind their inspiration, we suggest you don’t hold your breath for this one. Especially since no statement has been issued by the LEGO Group at this time.

The rumours are flying thick and fast for LEGO Star Wars at the moment: a recent list of sets suggests we’ll be getting several new sets from the prequel era. We’ve also offered other LEGO Star Wars predictions for the year ahead, including a new version of the Rancor pit. Fingers crossed that a Scorpenek droid isn’t far behind.

That’s a great idea! You should make a lego set out of the big robots!
