Three mysterious LEGO set numbers have surfaced for products apparently arriving in June 2026, suggesting another brand new theme could be on the cards.
According to Instagram user jjpsleaksite, a pair of 12+ sets and one 18+ model numbered 72421, 72322 and 72423 respectively are debuting next June. (72322 seems likely to be a typo, and the actual number would almost certainly be 72422, so that’s what we’ll run with for the rest of this story.) These sets don’t fall into the sequencing for any current theme, but instead sit closest to the current trio of rumoured Pokémon sets.
They’re far enough away that they probably aren’t more Pokémon sets, so the natural conclusion – and one arrived at by jjpsleaksite – is that they’re part of a new theme. And if that’s the case, chances are good that it’s one hooked to a licensed property, as the vast majority of themes with product numbers that start in 7 are based on external IP.
The two major exceptions to that rule in the current portfolio are DREAMZzz and NINJAGO, however – two of the LEGO Group’s biggest in-house product lines. So there’s also a small chance that these sets could belong to a new homegrown theme, but those do tend to launch with bigger waves, so the relatively small number of sets here (and their positioning towards an older audience) again point to a licensed theme.
All we can do for now is speculate in the absence of any other info, but this is arguably the most enjoyable moment of any new rumoured theme: when everything is on the table, and we can dream big. Drop your pie-in-the-sky suggestions in the comments below…
