BrickLink reveals 25th-anniversary logo for LEGO celebration

BrickLink is getting ready to celebrate the platform’s 25th anniversary, revealing a nostalgic emblem as they tease a year of LEGO celebrations.

BrickLink will turn 25 this year with its founding on June 19, 2000, putting the anniversary precisely in the middle of the year. As 2025 starts, the team have shared a first look at the celebrations on Instagram via the anniversary emblem.

The design might seem simple but those who know BrickLink’s history will be able to recognise a heartfelt tribute in the design, and not just via the parrot. The inclusion of the blue and green party hat and the parrot both reference the original design and colour scheme of BrickLink’s website, after it was transformed from BrickBay.

It’s a perfect start to the 25th anniversary of BrickLink which equally pays tribute to founder Dan Jezek and the Instagram account teases many more celebrations to come throughout the year.

Given that the exact anniversary is in June, we might be waiting some time for the biggest events in the celebrations to start as well as to find out more details on what to expect. For now, the anniversary badge indicates that the team know how to pay tribute to the huge LEGO resource.

Whether these celebrations will affect the BrickLink Designer Program and its many official sets is unknown but it would be great to see the massive accomplishment acknowledged in some way.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.

So that’s why they recolored the parrot in black appearing in the HP set 76447?
