The six biggest mechs in LEGO NINJAGO's history

The six biggest mechs in LEGO NINJAGO's history

LEGO NINJAGO's biggest mech is coming soon, as confirmed by the LEGO Group, offering a metric to determine the biggest mechs in the theme.

Of the LEGO NINJAGO summer 2024 sets, 71821 Cole's Titan Dragon Mech is one of the most interesting inclusions for only including one minifigure and officially holding the title of biggest mech in NINJAGO's history.

For the 2024 mech, the LEGO Group's metric for the biggest model is its height and we've used that as a foundation to figure out what mechs 71821 Cole's Titan Dragon Mech is beating. As stated in the description for the many LEGO NINJAGO mechs, here are the six biggest LEGO NINJAGO mechs ever released, by height ascending.

5 (tied) – 71785 Jay's Titan Mech

Price: £69.99 / $79.99 / €79.99 Pieces: 794 Height: 28cm

71785 Jay's Titan Mech is the biggest of the LEGO NINJAGO mechs released as part of the Core line, with no specific season used as the foundation. At 28cm tall, it's tied for fifth place in this list.

Mechs are undoubtedly a core part of LEGO NINJAGO as a whole and the currently-available 71785 Jay's Titan Mech has one of the most interesting designs in NINJAGO history complete with one of the largest swords ever designed.

5 (tied) – 71794 Lloyd and Arin's Ninja Team Mechs

Price: £74.99 / $79.99 / €84.99 Pieces: 764 Height: 28cm

Despite depicting two mechs in one set, 71794 Lloyd and Arin's Ninja Team Mechs just makes it onto the list thanks to its height of 28cm.

The LEGO NINJAGO Dragons Rising mech has featured prominently in the series and the smaller mech can attach to the larger model, using almost all of the piece count as one combined mech.

4 – 71765 Ninja Ultra Combo Mech

Price: £89.99 / $89.99 / €99.99 Pieces: 1,104 Height: 31cm

71765

71765 Ninja Ultra Combo Mech may not be the biggest LEGO NINJAGO mech but it's surely the most interesting. While many mechs focus on upscaled weapons or detaching vehicles, 71765 Ninja Ultra Combo Mech is made up of several vehicles combined into one massive mech.

It measures 31cm according to its official description though its articulation is more limited than most LEGO NINJAGO mechs thanks to the intricacies of its main feature.

3 – 71775 Nya's Samurai X MECH

Price: £104.99 / $119.99 / €119.99 Pieces: 1,003 Height: 32cm

71775 1

Featuring many minifigures and a sizable side build, 71775 Nya's Samurai X MECH makes it onto the list at a height of 32cm.

The mech is one of the familiar in the theme for not including any standout functions, instead relying on being a huge and colourful mech complete with a pair of giant swords.

2 – 70676 Lloyd's Titan Mech

Price: £64.99 / $79.99 / €69.99 Pieces: 876 Height: 37cm

70676

70676 Lloyd's Titan Mech is one of the first LEGO NINJAGO Titan Mechs following 2015's 70737 Titan Mech Battle but it arguably started the trend of the giant and detailed range of NINJAGO mechs with intricate detailing and clever part usage.

It measures 37cm tall thanks to its wings, just placing it second on the list. That said, the biggest mech doesn't need its additional wings to come out on top.

1 – 71821 Cole's Titan Dragon Mech

Price: £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 Pieces: 1,055 Height: 39cm

71821 1024x768

Measured to the tip of its shoulders, not to the top of the wings, 71821 Cole's Titan Dragon Mech is 39cm tall and has no side builds and only one minifigure.

That means that the entirety of the 1,055 pieces can go towards the biggest LEGO NINJAGO mech ever designed. It's got the most options for posing too with knee joints, elbow joints and a turning head. It launches on June 1 in the UK and Europe or on August 1 in the US for £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99.
