More details for rumoured LEGO Harry Potter summer 2024 wave
Further rumoured details have surfaced for two buildable creatures believed to be coming to LEGO Harry Potter this summer in 2024.
Polish LEGO fan site FanKlockow has reported some more details on the rumoured LEGO Harry Potter sets, 76427 Buckbeak and 76433 Mandrake. For 76427 Buckbeak, while the name and piece count might have suggested that it would be similar to 75979 Hedwig, it’s now described to not be wind-up. Instead, the brick-built Hippogriff is expected to be posable, with movable head, wings, and legs.
It will also reportedly come with brick-built scenery from Hagrid’s garden, featuring two pumpkins and a bird. There aren’t believed to be any minifigures included but the scale should be similar to 76414 Expecto Patronum.
Next up is a more detailed description of 76433 Mandrake, with it reportedly being a life-size model of the mandrake, complete with a flower pot. The mandrake is expected to have a moving mouth and limbs, as well as a seemingly terrifying feature: a simulated ‘screaming’ mechanism. You’d think those screams would come via a sound brick but FanKlockow states there won’t be one in this set.
Both of these sets are believed to be joining the LEGO Harry Potter theme in June so, if the rumours are true, we’d expect a reveal sometime in the next few weeks. Until then, take all of these details with a pinch of salt until we get an official reveal from the LEGO Group.
