Double VIP points is the best deal you’ll find on these six LEGO sets

Some LEGO sets are truly exclusive to LEGO stores and LEGO.com, making double VIP points events the best possible time to buy them.

While most LEGO models are either released immediately at other retailers, or come to them after a brief exclusivity period, some remain within the LEGO Group’s bubble, or at least in there at the time of writing due to their recent release.

For these select few LEGO sets, a double VIP points event – with multiple GWPs on offer – is a great, if not the best, time to buy them. Here’s a look at which sets are only available within the LEGO Group’s bubble for the latest event, lasting until June 13.

6 – 10276 Colosseum

Theme: LEGO Icons Price: £449.99 / $549.99 / €499.99 Pieces: 9,036

While not quite as big or expensive as 10307 Eiffel Tower, 10276 Colosseum is still £449.99 / $549.99 / €499.99 and is sure to earn you a fair few VIP points this weekend. The model recreates the historical location at a smaller scale for display around the home.

5 – 71799 NINJAGO City Markets

Theme: LEGO NINJAGO Price: £319.99 / $369.99 / €369.99 Pieces: 6,163

From the real locations to a fictional one, 71799 NINAJGO City Markets has only just been released and is a must-have for NINJAGO enthusiasts with many exclusive and desirable minifigures included. It, of course, is compatible with the other three NINJAGO City sets too.

4 – 10323 PAC-MAN Arcade

Theme: LEGO Icons Price: £229.99 / $269.99 / €269.99 Pieces: 2,651

Based on the iconic Arcade game of the same name, 10323 PAC-MAN Arcade is the LEGO Group’s first collaboration with Bandai Namco and was also recently released. Its most impressive feature is a working maze with a track for PAC-MAN and the ghosts to run along.

3 – 75355 X-Wing Starfighter

Theme: LEGO Star Wars Price: £209.99 / $239.99 / €239.99 Pieces: 1,949

This year’s May the 4th set has yet to appear at other retailers as LEGO Star Wars 75355 X-Wing Starfighter is available now only at LEGO.com and in LEGO stores. You won’t get a Death Star free with it this time, but at least it has double VIP points again.

2 – 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box

Theme: LEGO Batman Price: £344.99 / $399.99 / €399.99 Pieces: 3,981

Also launched this month is 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box, featuring the biggest DC model yet and another inspired by the 1989 / 1992 iteration of Batman. It includes the Batmobile and seven rare or exclusive minifigures to display in the unique shadow box build.

1 – 21340 Tales of the Space Age

Theme: LEGO Ideas Price: £44.99 / $49.99 / €49.99 Pieces: 688

21340 has yet to release outside of the LEGO Group’s bubble it appears and as the cheapest model on this list, it’s a good add-on to a larger order. The set comprises four poster-style dioramas depicting space-related scenes. These can be displayed on a surface or hung on a wall.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
