Every physical LEGO VIP reward costs at least £3.95 – plus the points
The recently launched LEGO VIP Reward Centre charges users more than £3.95 to aquire each physical reward they redeem.
While much has been written about the new LEGO VIP Reward Centre, it has been barely noted that fans looking to ‘buy’ physical rewards have to pay in more than points. When fans redeem their points, they get a code for the relevant physical item. They must then go to LEGO.com and place an order – with either a £3.95 delivery charge or valued at £50 for free delivery – and enter the promotional code, which will see the physical item added to the basket. Only one code can be redeemed per order, meaning that fans buying items such as the LEGO Originals prints can only get one of them delivered at a time.
Given that VIP physical rewards are being promoted as costing nothing but points, it is not entirely favourable to VIPs to insist they also place an order that costs more than £3.95.
Fans looking to get their hands on physical rewards will need to login to the LEGO.com VIP area and redeem the items using their points. They will then be sent a one-off code that can be used with any order at the website and the reward item will be shipped alongside the order.
