Father’s Day make and take coming to the LEGO Store

With Father’s Day taking place later this month, LEGO Stores will offer a slightly different make and take event to mark the occasion.

On June 13 and June 14, LEGO fans can build a bespoke Father’s Day gift ahead of the actual day on Sunday, June 16. From 4.00pm until 6.00pm, visitors to the brand stores will have the opportunity to customise the classic dad accessory of a tie. It will be limited to one per person, while stocks last.

It is not currently clear how many stores will run the activity, so it will be worth making a phone call before heading to a LEGO Store. Whether the accessory will be wearable or not is not entirely apparent, but it will certainly make for a novelty if it is.

Given that a huge number of releases are expected tomorrow – including LEGO City, Friends, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park and Creator – there will be plenty of new sets to buy while popping in to build this unusual make and take model. Yesterday, 10266 Apollo 11 Lunar Lander was officially announced as launching tomorrow.
