First look at Solitus in new LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy poster

A new poster for LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past shows off the animated version of new villain Solitus for the first time.

Our first true glimpse at the sequel series’ new character came in yesterday’s reveal of 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder, an upcoming LEGO Star Wars set hooked to the animated Disney+ special. But a new poster revealed by the official Star Wars website has now given us a look at Solitus as he’ll appear on screen, rocking purple nunchaku lightsabers and with a villainous smile on his face.

A Duros – the same species as fan-favourite bounty hunter Cad Bane – Solitus will be voiced in the four-part series by Dan Stevens, who you might remember from such TV shows and films as Downton Abbey and Beauty and the Beast. He’s joining returning cast members Gaten Matarazzo, Tony Revolori, Ahmed Best and Mark Hamill, alongside new additions Ashley Eckstein and Ben Schwartz.

Solitus will apparently arrive on the scene as ‘the Master [Darth Dev] has always been looking for’, says Revolori. “A true Sith Lord! Someone who can finally teach him his place in the universe.”

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
