First official images of LEGO Indiana Jones sets spotted online

A Dutch LEGO retailer has released the first official images of the highly-anticipated LEGO Indiana Jones sets.

Making its return after a 14-year absence, LEGO Indiana Jones is confirmed to be on its way back, as Dutch retailer Brickshop.eu releases official images of three sets. The listings also confirm piece counts and prices for the sets, as well as give us our first official look at what the sets will include.

Here’s a collection of all the details and the early images. While some are low quality for now, we can likely expect the LEGO Group to release clearer photos in the coming months as we approach the release date, listed as June 1 on all three listings.

LEGO Indiana Jones 77012 Fighter Plane Chase

Price: €34.99 Pieces: 387 Release date: June 1, 2023

There’s plenty of lifestyle images that come along with 77012 Fighter Plane Chase, offering us detailed looks at the set from every angle. At 387 pieces, this set is the smallest of the three confirmed sets, including a brick-built car and plane and three minifigures, as well as a sign pointing our characters toward Berlin. It packs a lot into its €34.99 price point, with Indiana Jones and his iconic whip, his father Professor Henry Jones Sr., and a fighter pilot to man the propeller plane. You can recreate the daring aerial chase that the father and son went through in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, with what looks like stud guns fixed on the wings of the plane for extra play opportunities.

LEGO Indiana Jones 77013 Escape From the Lost Tomb

Price: €39.99 Pieces: 600 Release date: June 1, 2023

77013 Escape from the Lost Tomb is at a slightly higher price, €39.99, but you get a lot more bang for your back with almost double the pieces and one extra minifigure. Here, you of course get Indy, alongside Marion Ravenwood, Sallah, a mummy, and an array of snakes for them to battle their way through. The setting of the Lost Tomb is also recreated faithfully, with two large brick-built statues transporting you back to ancient Egypt and guarding the arched entrance. This Indy minifigure also has a different torso to distinguish him from his counterpart in 77012 Fighter Plane Chase (although he still comes with his trusty hat and whip).

LEGO Indiana Jones 77015 Temple of the Golden Idol

Price: €149.99 Pieces: 1,545 Release date: June 1, 2023

The largest of all the sets, 77015 Temple of the Golden Idol, comes in at a whopping 1,545 pieces and a correspondingly higher price of €149.99. Four minifigures appear once again, including (of course) Indiana Jones, Satipo, Belloq. and a Hovitos Warrior. The set depicts the opening scene to Raiders of the Lost Ark and is the perfect display piece, showcasing the obstacles facing the characters in a style similar to diorama sets.

However, there are also plenty of interactive options, such as a plinth with four knobs that can lower and light up the idol, collapse a wall, swing Indy across a cavern, lower a trapdoor, and send a massive brick-built boulder after Indy. At 51cm wide, it’s large enough to capture plenty of authentic details and give you room to send your minifigures on daring adventures.

With the reported release date just a few months away, we’d hope to see clearer images of all three sets released by the LEGO Group in the next couple of months – and we’ll be sure to share them here when we do.
