The first prequel LEGO Star Wars diorama is rumoured

The LEGO Star Wars Diorama Collection is rumoured to finally embrace the prequels next year with one of two reported models.

Promobricks‘ list of rumoured LEGO Star Wars 2024 sets includes a pair of dioramas, teasing that the range could continue into its third year. It’s believed that the next couple of entries into the collection will include the first prequel LEGO Star Wars diorama. In 2022, LEGO Star Wars Creative Lead Jens Kronvold Frederiksen mentioned that the classic saga was being used as a starting point for the collection.

75380 Boonta Eve Podrace Diorama and 75387 Tantive IV Boarding Diorama are rumoured for 2024. 75380 Boonta Eve Podrace Diorama would be the first LEGO Star Wars Diorama based on the prequel trilogy, believed to cost €69.99 and be released on May 1, 2024.

So far, the LEGO Star Wars Diorama Collection’s five sets have all been based on the original trilogy – episodes four, five and six. Embarking outside that selection would make many more scenes eligible for sets, including the battle with Darth Maul, the confrontation with Palpatine and the battle with Jango Fett, just as a creative fan has imagined already.

However, the collection isn’t leaving the original trilogy in the dust as 75387 Tantive IV Boarding Diorama is rumoured for March 1, 2024, for €54.99. All of the sets on the reported list are only rumours at the time of writing so take them with some caution for now.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
