First trailer for the festive return of LEGO MASTERS UK
Channel 4 has debuted the first trailer for LEGO MASTERS UK, which returns to screens next week for a one-off Christmas special.
Hosted by comedian Nish Kumar, the festive episode sees three teams of celebrity contestants take part in competitive (and seasonal) building challenges. The LEGO Group’s Vice President of Design Matthew Ashton and LEGO designer Amy Corbett are on judging duties, reprising their previous roles from LEGO MASTERS UK and LEGO MASTERS USA respectively.
Among the contestants are comedians Alex Horne and Sophie Duker, singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor and her family, and TV personality Scarlett Moffatt with her father and sister. The festive special will air on Channel 4 at 7.25pm UK time on December 24, so that’s your Christmas Eve viewing sorted. (For an hour, anyway – plenty of time left afterwards to chuck on Home Alone.)
Check out a first trailer for the episode below.
While there’s no confirmation yet on whether this special is heralding the full return of LEGO MASTERS UK, we’re waiting with bated breath: the LEGO take on The Great British Bake-Off hasn’t been on screens here since the end of 2018, even while it’s been exported to countries all across the globe (some of which are now into their third seasons).

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
