Five contenders for the rumoured 18+ LEGO Pixar set

An 18+ LEGO Pixar set is rumoured for next year and the possibilities are endless, including a build celebrating the 30th anniversary of Toy Story.

LEGO Pixar sets are nothing new, but there have been few designed specifically for an older audience. According to a recent rumour from lego_minecraft_goat on Instagram, an 18+ LEGO Pixar set is coming next September with 811 pieces for $69.99, following the likes of 76832 XL-15 Spaceship, 21303 WALL-E, 8484 Ultimate Build Lightning McQueen.

This is only a rumour at the time of writing but it's quite an exciting one as there are many characters and locations from across the various Pixar movies that would suit an adult-targeted LEGO Pixar set nicely. Here are five possible contenders for the rumoured LEGO Pixar 2025 model.

5 – WALL•E

A remake of LEGO Ideas 21303 WALL•E would be a great pick for the 811-piece rumoured set, especially since the original build has only 676 elements. An upgraded take on this set ten years after the LEGO Ideas model would be an appreciated release for more recent LEGO enthusiasts as well.

4 – Monsters, Inc.

A display-centric LEGO Monsters, Inc. model would be another good fit for an 18+ LEGO Pixar set. A recreation of either Boo's door or a laugh canister (hopefully with figures of Mike and Sully at least) would be able to lean into nostalgia while offering fans something to showcase on their desk or around their home.

3 – Gusteau's

As BRICK PROJECT has consistently pitched on LEGO Ideas, a smaller recreation of Ratatouille's Gusteau's restaurant with a couple of minifigures in a sizable kitchen scene would fit within an 811-piece build. Something similar to a LEGO Star Wars diorama-sized build would need a minimal number of prints and use many small elements to recreate the restaurant's ornate kitchen.

2 – Radiator Springs

Alternatively, using 76444 Diagon Alley Wizarding Shops as a blueprint for a microscale Radiator Springs model inspired by the Cars movies may fit within the rumoured 811-piece count. While 76444 Diagon Alley Wizarding Shops uses nearly 3,000 elements, the busy street is much more dense than that of Radiator Springs and its buildings are smaller overall with gaps between them. Miniature builds of various car characters may fit into the piece count too.

1 – Andy's room

Since 2025 is the 30th anniversary of the original Toy Story movie, it seems likely that this rumoured set will cover part of the iconic franchise and an 800-piece minifigure-scale recreation of Andy's room similar to the custom model from A_dude_named_Sue pictured above would be perfect for older enthusiasts to display while celebrating the movies that helped make Pixar famous.
