Five new LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog sets are now available
Sonic the Hedgehog has fully joined the world of LEGO with new minifigures and models out now online and in stores.
It’s finally time for the LEGO Group to realise the full potential of Sonic the Hedgehog by giving the Blue Blur his very own theme. Today marks the start of LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog after its LEGO Dimensions and Ideas sets.
Head to your local LEGO store or LEGO.com and spin into Green Hill Zone with Sonic the Hedgehog.
There are five models in this new range, including minifigures of more Sonic the Hedgehog characters than ever before. There are also Badniks and animals scattered throughout the sets, as well as a buildable Cubot in 76993 Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman’s Death Egg Robot.
For those on a budget, there’s still a lot of fun to be had in the LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog sets. The title character is included in almost every set, with the cheapest being 76990 Sonic’s Speed Sphere Challenge.
The Speed Sphere is a new element which can hold a minifigure inside and be fired from the provided launcher to take down Dr. Eggman’s minions and save the animals.
Also available at a lower price is 76991 Tails’ Workshop and Tornado Plane, including the rare Tails minifigure and the Tornado. That’s just one of many references to the wider franchise in these models, all of which are available now with a pair of BrickHeadz releasing next month.

- LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
