Former TT Games’ devs Funko game also looks like LEGO Dimensions

The first teaser trailer for former TT Games’ developers, 10:10 Games’ debut Funko game reveals a similar premise to LEGO Dimensions.

Announced in 2022 after members of TT Games left to establish and join 10:10 Games, Funko Fusion’s first trailer has been released, showcasing the multitude of franchises that will crossover in the upcoming action-adventure title.

That concept might sound and look familiar. We previously noted the similarities between the Funko game and LEGO Dimensions when major details were first confirmed. However, the trailer showcases that the two games appear to have more in common other than bringing together multiple properties in a massive crossover.

The trailer reveals that while the game will include a good amount of comedy as well as a mix of puzzles and combat in its gameplay, it’s not exactly the same as LEGO Dimensions.

Aside from the big-headed appearance of Funko figures instead of LEGO minifigures, Funko Fusion seems to feature more mature franchises and tones than a typical LEGO game.

However, Back to the Future and Jurassic World feature in Funko Fusion after appearing in LEGO Dimensions. Other franchises in the game include The Umbrella Academy, The Thing, Child’s Play 2, Masters of the Universe and more.

“It’s incredibly exciting to be able to show everyone what the team here at 10:10 Games has been up to,” says Arthur Parsons, 10:10 Games’ design director and co-founder. “Harnessing the incredible properties we’ve been entrusted with by our partners at Universal Games and Digital Platforms, bringing them together into a gaming experience that is incredibly fun, surprising, authentic, and celebrates fandom like never before, all experienced through a Funko lens.”

Funko Fusion is coming to PC and console in 2024 and unlike LEGO Dimensions, it doesn’t appear to be using a toys-to-life system to add new characters – or at least this has not been mentioned in any press material at the time of writing.
