Free content is coming for LEGO Ideas 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale

LEGO Ideas 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale comes with a free, exclusive adventure and you can watch the action unfold soon.

When you pick up 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale from April 1 for LEGO Insiders or April 4 for everyone else, don’t forget to download the free adventure that has been exclusively designed for the set by Wizards of the Coast.

To our knowledge, it’s the first LEGO Ideas set since 21323 Grand Piano to have built-in technological integration (of a sort). It’s going to be available for free as a digital download at the LEGO Insiders Rewards Centre or you can spend 2,700 points to grab a physical copy of the adventure book while stocks last.

Those familiar with D&D Beyond, the digital toolset for Dungeons & Dragons available to use for free, will want to know that the adventure is coming to the platform too along with character sheets, a digital dice and more.

Those curious about the adventure but without a group of players to play with can watch the action unfold on April 6 at 9am PDT / 12pm EDT / 5pm BST / 6pm CEST / 12am CST. Dungeon Master Anjali Bhimani of Critical Role, Overwatch and more will be guiding players Luis Carazo and Ginny Di as well as fan designer Lucas and LEGO designer Jordan Scott through the bespoke adventure.

Those familiar with various D&D streams will almost certainly recognise a few of those names and the LEGO House has been used for this live adventure playthrough. Luis Carazo and Ginny Di have similarly been on Critical Role but the former has also featured in NCIS: Los Angeles.

For the first LEGO Dungeons & Dragons set, quickly followed by the Mimic Dice Box gift-with-purchase, the LEGO Group seems to be going all-in for 50 years of Dungeons & Dragons. Don’t forget that a LEGO D&D Collectible Minifigures series has also been confirmed for September on top of the free adventure too.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
