Free LEGO Formula 1 set coming to LEGO Stores next month

The next LEGO Store make and take event has been revealed, offering a free Formula 1 creation to mark the launch of the March 2025 models.

Alongside a mix of varied models, next month will see the launch of 10 LEGO Speed Champions Formula 1 sets, two Technic Formula 1 builds and 10353 Williams Racing FW14B & Nigel Mansell. This follows the earlier arrival of the LEGO City Formula 1 sets and comes as the proper launch of the massive 2025 model collection.

It’s already going to be an exciting month for Formula 1 enthusiasts, but you might want to plan an extra visit to your local LEGO Store a bit later in the month. Listings for the next make and take event for the US and Canada as well as the UK and Ireland LEGO retail locations confirm that the next free build is themed to Formula 1.

A small steering wheel recreation will be offered to visitors six and up on a first come first served basis at participating stores. In the US, you can visit your local store on March 9 between 12pm and 2pm to pick up a free model while stocks last.

In the UK and Ireland, participating LEGO Stores will host the event on March 8 between 10am and 12pm and on March 9 between 12pm to 2pm. In all regions, the set is limited to one copy per person and these events usually run out of stock fairly quickly, so we’d recommend getting to your local LEGO Store before the event starts.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.

Question, anyone knows how the steering wheel is attach to the dish? I’am trying to build this because I live not where a Lego store is. Thanks!

They couldn’t have made it smaller if they tried.
