New LEGO Friends set is perfect for displaying Muppets minifigures

An image of a new LEGO Friends set has debuted on the instructions database, and it looks perfect for displaying your brand new 71033 The Muppets minifigures.

The listing for 41714 Andrea’s Theatre School originally appeared on the Building Instructions portal yesterday, but no image was available at the time. There’s one there now, and it reveals a sizeable brick-built stage, complete with red curtain, viewing galleries, an organ and even a costume department.

While that’s all well and great for Friends, and further diversifies the attentions of the mini-doll theme, it’s even better for those of us gunning for a complete set of Muppets minifigures next month. The latest series of Collectible Minifigures drops on May 1, and they’re crying out for some kind of brick-built theatre backdrop to display them on. Like, for example, 41714 Andrea’s Theatre School.

We don’t have a firm release date for the Friends set yet, nor indeed a price or piece count, but the instructions database suggests it’ll land sometime in 2022. The safe money is on a June 1 release given the timing of this listing, and a full reveal is presumably right around the corner. While you wait to see more of 41714 Andrea’s Theatre School, check out our early review of 71033 The Muppets.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
