Grand opening of the LEGO House today in Billund

The big day has arrived, with plenty of activity planned to celebrate the opening of the LEGO House today in Billund, Denmark.

Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen’s passion project finally welcomes the public today, as the LEGO House opens its doors with a day of festivities. The unique attraction and building has been constructed in in the centre of Billund, Denmark, the home of the LEGO Group. Brick Fanatics recently shared a taster of what can be found at the Home of the Brick.

13.00-13.45 Opening of the squares around LEGO® House, by Mayor Ib Kristensen, with feature by the Billund Youth and Culture School

13.45-15.00 Live streaming of the official inauguration ceremony directly from LEGO House

15.00-19.00 Celebration on the squares, featuring LEGO building activities, songs, music and food:

  • Street food
  • LEGOLAND® Garden
  • Large LEGO tent with presents for everyone
  • Performance by the Billund Youth and Culture School
  • Performance by Christoffer Brodersen
  • Concert featuring Jordans Drive

15.30 HRH The Crown Prince and HRH The Crown Princess greet the crowds from the green LEGO House terrace

16.00-22.00 Inauguration of LEGO House terraces and LEGO Square
