A new competition has opened up, asking for designs that might inspire the next chapter of LEGO NINJAGO Legends following Monstrosity.
The full LEGO NINJAGO Legends: Monstrosity series was released last week, fetching nearly 600,000 views over five days. Now, it seems that the LEGO Group is already planning the next chapter as they're asking the community to help co-create new monsters.
Kai's voice actor, Vincent Tong, features in a new video explaining the challenge, which is also available on the NINJAGO website. Details on the contest are light, tasking fans to draw a new monster design and send it in to be in with a chance of helping inspire a new chapter of LEGO NINJAGO Legends.
The brief specifically asks for monsters from The Land of Monsters, suggesting that we'll be heading back to the terrifying area in the future of LEGO NINJAGO Legends. The subtheme of NINJAGO only consists of Monstrosity at the time of writing.
Early rumours for LEGO NINJAGO in 2026 include more 14+ sets, similar to the two Legends sets released so far, but these are to be taken with a pinch of salt and are unconfirmed at the time of writing.

For now, you can submit your monster designs for this LEGO NINJAGO competition on the LEGO Play app, but you must use the 'LEGONINJAGOLegends' hashtag to take part. You have until August 8 to submit your entry, leaving you with a month and a half to grab a pencil and get creative.
One thing that we can take from this new challenge, rumours aside, is that LEGO NINJAGO Legends doesn't end with Monstrosity. The LEGO Group is planning a future for the subtheme, and with the 15th anniversary of NINJAGO coming next year, this should be an interesting story to follow.
